referring to the recent issues on the above subject and the stand taken by the medical management association - the student's now will rethink on the very next decision of UDF Govt in Kerala and any negative decision will be reflected directly in streets.
The permission given to the so said management to start and conduct the medical colleges are clearly based on student seat allocation of 50 % each to the private and Govt which leads to the indirect formation of one Govt college once after the formation of two colleges in the private sector. This wise decision was taken by Shri A K Antony lead UDF Govt when it was in rule to ensure that the kerala state itself will have enough professional colleges within the state and to avoid the outflow of money in the name of capitation fee and other hidden cost to other nearby states.
over a period of time the seat allotment and fees structure and everything in this sector demanded judicial intervention and endless difficulties to the kerala students. last ruled LDF govt also was an utter failure to take a firm stand on this issue. no one protested against this status in their tenure. unfortunately the student wing of other political parties were also great failure to take up effectively this issue to the Govt before the LDF term ended.
now once the UDF govt took the ruling of the state , very strong student wing SFI took this issue directly to the streets disturbing the other state development plans of the Govt very clearly with a unethical political agenda.surprisingly we could see some of the KSU leaders also supporting the movement and putting pressure on their govt to resolve the issue.
concluding the view at this moment Kerala govt shouldn't allow any of the management to use Govt's 50% share of seats to protect the student's interest and in remaining 50 % association must admit the students in their share with the fees decided by the judiciary till they get further verdict on their appeal. If they are not willing to proceed Govt should initiate legal moves to curtail the same in future projecting the difficulties which they face to continue the medical education in the state.
